"The gospel" writes Jerry Bridges, "is not only the most important message in all of history; it is the most important message in all of history; it is the only essential message in all of history. Yet we allow thousands of professing Christians to live their entire lives with out clearly understanding it and experiencing the joy of living by it." (pg 15 The Cross-Centered Life)
The gospel is literally...the Good News. It is defined in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 as:
That impacts not only history, but has the opportunity to reshape all of our lives. As we keep our eyes on Jesus, we want to understand the gospel...and it's long reaching impact. We want to experience the joy of God. The abundant joy He wants for us.
We had a blast on Sunday night gathering with the theme around Good News. You can check out some pics on the blog. It was a sweet, sweet time!
As we come back to the essentials, we want to close out the summer with a challenge. This challenge is for all of us in thequest family...whether here in urban Columbus...or sprinkled around the globe.
