Subject: News from Feyboi
Hi Sylvia,
Can't write much, but I really wanted to send you a quick update on Feyboi and his family. I was just with them yesterday. Feyboi was quite sick. I think the stress of his studies got the best of him. I was surprised when I saw him down at M'Baiki. He had obviously lost weight, and was complaining about pain in his abdomen and sinus problems. Anyway, I told him to come up to Bangui and we'd get him in to see a doctor, etc. He has been on meds for stomach problems and antibiotics for sinus infection and anti-malarials for malaria for two weeks now, and he is his glowing little self again.
He wrote you and the church family there at The Quest a letter which I will translate and mail to you when I get home. He showed me all his notebooks, and boy-oh-boy, he is really putting his whole heart into his studies. I wouldn't expect less from him, but I was even surprised at the good work he is doing. No surprise that he is first in his class of 15, and his wife, Christine, is also first in her class. I imagine that we can expect more of the same from both of them, although I do hope that he doesn't end up with stomach problems again. We don't need him graduating from B.I. with ulcers! But the truth is, he is not only growing in knowledge, but in his love for the Lord and the Word, and that's what's important.
Well, that's my little update. Looking forward to seeing you at a time the Lord will provide to us.
